Myrtle Beach

I snapped this while on the beach yesterday. Temperatures registered 103, a thunderstorm
came through and dropped the temperature 25 degrees. Then it was wonderful, overcast
with a warm sea breeze blowing, paradise.
My only question is where have all the sea gulls gone?  There have been No seagulls on
the beach since May!

I'm linking to Outdoor Wednesday at A Southern Daydreamer                                                and  Waterywednesday        Go visit for lots of wonderful sightseeing!

  1. I live 20 minutes from the beach, but hadn't realized the lack of gulls! It has been too hot and crowded for us to go over there. We like the off season! But sometimes we will go to early church and go take a stroll at the beach and then try to get back before the hotels let out!

  2. nannykim, it has been very hot and crowded. We usually go out after 5 when most folks are going in. I hadn't noticed either until my husband remarked one day that there were none out so we have been looking :(

  3. Annette,

Myrtle Beach is my favorite place on earth! I have wonderful memories of family vacations over the years. The beach is beautiful and the people shower visitors with Southern Hospitality....not to be confused with Rhoda. :o) I hope to get back sometime soon.

  8. Looks wonderful! gulls?? I don't know but I once had a tern, purposely poop on my head...he lined up and looked me in the eye.
We have no beach here but have parents that lived on the coast of Mississippi until just recently, love the smell and the breeze!

  11. Hi,
I love the vacant beach chairs waiting for someone to come and plop into them! A beautiful photo! By the way, the seagulls are all here in NJ stealing pizza from us as we walk down the boardwalk! :)) Thanks for stopping by to say hi!

  12. The beach looks so lovely! Perhaps your seagulls have gone north. We seem to have plenty here in our city along the river and the lakes.

  13. Ms. Daisey and Cindy, I think you may be right. Maybe our gulls have gone on vacation, LOL. I saw six flying out over the water breaks today but none on the beach :)
