What to do when nothing seems to be going right...
Wait for the Lord's help. Be strong and brave and wait for the Lord's help. Psalm 27:14
I find rest in God; only He gives me hope. Psalm 62:5
But the people who trust the Lord will become strong again. They will rise up as eagles in the sky; they will run and not need rest; they will walk and not become tired. Isaiah 40:31
Let us hold firmly to the hope that we have confessed, because we can trust God to do what he promised.
Oh sweet Annette, thank you for this post. yes thats what we all need to do.. when things don't seem to go right. thats what i want to do.. rather than letting anxiety grows and kill me from within. thank you for these wisdom words.

Annette, so glad you dropped by Places of my Heart. I love when I find a new sister in Christ. Thanks for your sweet comment and such a wonderful reminder in your post what we need to do; but I sometimes struggle with this. Hope your Sunday is restful.
ReplyDeleteA very encouraging post, Annette. No matter what happens in life, as Christians we know where our hope comes from.

I am so happy to meet you Annette! Thanks for visiting my blog. My husband received "hopeful" news earlier this week from the doctor and these verses especially bless me today. Such a beautiful photo too. Your blog is very inspiring and lovely and I am following along now. Have a wonderful Sunday.

Great advice! I often tell my kids that when I don't know what to do I do nothing...not until I hear from the Lord.
ReplyDeleteThank you, darlin', for this heartwarming post. It just settles my soul and my spirit to read such words from the Bible.
ReplyDeleteWe had such a wonderful sermon today at our Cowboy church. All about being in the Kingdom of God..Now, we are on our way to our weekly home fellowship gathering. I just made Pioneer Woman's great Chocolate Cake to take..and we'll have hamburgers, beans and all the trimmings. There is something magical and wonderful about 'breaking bread' with such dear friends. I know it is because our Savior TELLS us to do this very thing.
Have a happy evening,
xo bj
