Murrells Inlet is beautiful this time of year. The scorching heat and high humidity is gone
and there's just a gentle cool breeze in the air.

This little fellow kept a safe distance from us as we walked along the decking. He appeared unaware of us
but he kept edging away as we drew closer. Annoyed that we would not leave, he gave up and flew away.

Mr. Vintage keeps dreaming about a sailboat. My thinking is that would not be very wise as my
knowledge of boats is

1. They are fun to look at and  2.They float...... if your lucky!
3. If he is at the helm, who is going to bait my hook if I want to fish?

Thanks for stopping by and y'all come back!

I'm sharing at Watery Wednesday
Outdoor Wednesday

  1. A lovely and interesting post.

  2. Delightful series of photos round this waterway!

  3. That white heron [or egret, I can't tell by the size] is one awesome photo!!

And yes, I know what you mean about the drier air and cooler evenings...it was long coming this year. LOL

Here is my Watery LINK. Hope you can find time to visit with me today.

  4. Thank you for sharing this quiet looking area. That little bird was sure walking close to the edge of the deck.

  5. Looks so peaceful and lovely!!
Great pic of the egret - we have heron that come to our pond in the middle of suburbia and my daughter calls it Gilbert : ) I like your white Gilbert!

  6. Looks and sounds very peaceful! Beautiful shots.

  7. Gorgeous and what a beautiful heron. We have blue ones around here. This is so lovely, so calming. Have a great day!

  8. Hi Annette
Thank you for visiting My Cozy Corner. Your photos are wonderful. Water is so easy for the camera to catch the perfect light. And, nature is awesome to photograph too.
    Love your post.

  9. Lovely photos! The photo of the bird is exceptional.

  10. What a pretty place down by the water...it looks wonderful!

  11. What a lovely place to take a walk in the cool of the evening. Beautiful pictures.

  12. The lone seagull sitting on the pole is very cool looking. :-)

  13. Thanks for these wonderful views of Murrells Inlet. It's been years since I was there, but I remember the great seafood as well.
    Thanks for visiting my site.

  14. Annette...Thanks so much for your visit to my Climbing the Digital Mountain and for your comment. I feel you when it comes to swimming pools. Where I lived in Asheville we had one for 15 years..NO MORE. If you can’t pay a pool service to take care of your pool, don’t have one. I cannot imagine what it would take to keep up even a small boat. Your pictures are lovely...the water against the coat with the bright blue and your bird. Great work.

  15. Your photos are lovely. Water photos always are, though aren't they. I love the ocean, lakes and rivers, they are just so peaceful. Your photo of the bird is exceptionally nice!
    Hugs, Cindy

  16. This reminds me of coastal North Carolina...Anywhere near there? We live in Utah, but are originally from NC. I love it there.

    Anyway, great pics. Enjoyed it.

  17. Love that area - such a tranquil town. Makes me want to go back to visit.

Thanks for leaving a comment. I
read each and every one.
Have a blessed day!
