Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so you will live in the land, and enjoy security.
Psalm 37:3
Some days it is so hard to watch the news or even read the paper.
Evil seems so prevalent in the world.
When I stop to think however
I know that evil will not prevail. God will prevail in
all things and I must keep my focus on him and what is right,
even though it seems as if doing wrong would get me ahead and doing right
will cause me grief.
I am reminded to choose to do good, and entrust my well being and security to him.

Great post! We have to trust the Lord and steer ourselves away from evil. It is everywhere though. Thank you for this thoughtful post. Anne
ReplyDeleteI agree about the news. The boy who was shot at school this week made most mother's agree the world is evil. The absence of evil will only be complete in Heaven. I'm excited for that day to come!
ReplyDeleteA great post Annette. Enjoy your Sunday.
ReplyDeleteGreat post!It is GOOD to be able to trust in the Lord.

sometimes I get so overwhelmed with the bad that happens...I try not to watch the news or even read the paper. Thanks for the reminder that He's in control...no matter what....
ReplyDeleteStopping by from Spiritual Sundays! You're right, you have to trust God! And good will prevail! Have a wonderful Sunday and God Bless you!
ReplyDeleteSomething I am learning more and more of...learning to trust God. Even when the world is falling apart. God is still in control. Thanks and blessings!
ReplyDeleteSo true. When we take our eyes off of Heaven (our true home) we become overwhelmed. Remembering that we are here for only a short while to glorify God and gather others to Him keeps us from sinking. not always easy with the media to constantly remind us just how much evil is out there. I think that's one reason God gave grandbabies! To counteract the evil with pure, sweet, goodness.
ReplyDeleteGood post Annette! Sometimes it is so difficult to not take the easy way when you know the other way is going to be so difficult. But, trusting in our Lord is essential and I know I will always be safe and secure in His love.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way. I'm so thankful that I know the end of the story. Evil will be defeated and all will be well. Better than well. All will be wonderful. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Charlotte
