O is for optimist

Are you an optimist?  Do you always look on the bright side of things?

An optimist is a fellow who believes a housefly is looking for a way to get out. – George Jean Nathan

An optimist is a person who starts a new diet on Thanksgiving Day. – Irv Kupcinet

An optimist is a driver who thinks that empty space at the curb won’t have a hydrant beside it. – Jules Renard

An optimist stays up until midnight to see the new year in. A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves. – Bill Vaughan

Always the eternal optimist, President Reagan instilled confidence and optimism at a time both were in short supply in our country. – Jim Ramstad

After watching the news, hearing how bad things are locally, nationally and internationally I just felt the need to remind myself and others that there is always a bright side and that every cloud has a silver lining!

I'm joining Jenny Mattlock for Alphabe-Thursday

Glad y'all dropped by and come on back!

  1. I try to be an optimist, but it's so hard, isn't it? I'm better at counting my blessings ... and counting to 10 when I'm frustrated. =>

  17. Hi Annette, I think I am a perpetual optimist. Sometimes I wish I wasn't, but I'm wired that way I suspect.

    I love these quotes.

What an outstanding link for the letter "O".

  19. Thanks for the reminder. Sometimes we just need to count our blessings and refocus on what's really important in life. Worrying about things we have no control over is such a waste of time and energy.

God bless and have a great weekend :-)
