Although I love every single minute of all the "hurry and scurry", I have to step back and think about the true meaning of Christmas.
Christmas is not about the best decorated house or the prettiest Christmas tree. It's not even about the perfect gift I get for someone because there was really only one perfect gift.
It was the gift of love to all people. It was not wrapped in pretty paper and it was not placed under the perfect Christmas tree in an awesomely decorated house. It was wrapped in swaddling clothes and placed of all places in a lowly manger. There has never been and will never be a greater gift.
Have a Blessed Christmas
and remember...

Beautiful post and my all time favorite song. Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteHi Annette,
ReplyDeleteI'm not familiar with this artist, but this song sounds so moving. I try to imagine what Mary must have thought when the angel revealed to her the plan of God. Could she have fully understood what she heard? What we know is that she freely submitted to the will and purpose of God.
You're right, it's not about the trees and brightly decorated houses, it's all about Jesus.
May He be our focus in the coming days.
Blessings and peace.
