Warbird Park

Warbird Park is dedicated to those who served at the now closed Myrtle Beach Air Force Base.

Pilots often painted nose art , a decorative painting or design, to go with the name they had given their planes.

The park sits near the former main gate of the base.

  1. I used to love it when we would go to MB when the base was open. It was a great thrill to see and hear those jets fly overhead. Now, I settle for the planes flying overhead pulling advertisements behind them. :o)

    Have a great day! La

  3. Oh, wow...somehow I missed this! I wonder how I missed it. Is it at the gate on the beach side or on the socostee side? (I can't spell!).
